About The Bombaywala Dharamshala
In Samvat 1944, that is, about 138 years ago from today, the then Tilkayat Maharaj Goswami Govardhanlalji of Nathdwara town had allotted a plot of land which was situated adjoining the lane on the south side of the Lal Bazar Nathdwara to Seth Jamnadas Lallubhai for building dharamshala for the pilgrims. In Samvat 1981 Seth Jamnadas Lallubhai built a Dharamshala in the North side of the said Plot of Land which came to be known as Bombaywala Dharamshala/Badi Dharamshala. Bombaywala Dharamshala has been serving the pilgrims since appx. last 90 years.
The Dharamshala is managed and administered by Seth Jamnadas Lallubhai Charitable Trust (Mumbai) founded by the heirs of Seth Jamnadas Lallubhai as per his wish.
The old dharamshala being in delipilated condition, was reconstructed in the year 1994. The dharamshala comprises of Ground floor (shops) & accommodation facilities for pilgrims & devotees on first & second floor. The dharamshala provides various categories of rooms that can be booked at affordable rates by the devotees/pilgrims visiting Nathdwara for darshan of Lord Shrinathji.
